I grew up Smyrna, GA and went through Cobb schools K-12. The rest of my family is in the medical field so I’m the odd one out! My dad was a respiratory therapist and is now in technology for WellStar. My mom was a pediatric assistant and my brother is in nursing informatics in Gwinnett County. I have a nine year old niece and seven year old nephew that I love to spoil! I live in Powder Springs with my malti-poo Belle and German Shepherd mix, Odin.
This is my 14th year teaching at Dowell! I’ve taught both 4th and 5th grades here and absolutely love both. I received my bachelor’s degree from Berry College in Rome, GA. Go Vikings! Since then, I earned my gifted endorsement from North Georgia College and State University and my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. I recently earned my Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of West Georgia. When I’m not in school I spend my time traveling, volunteering at my church, planning my wedding, and watching college football… Go Dawgs! My favorite things… Color: Anything bright!
